Your Right to Deletion

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and in compliance with the requirements of Apple, Google, and Meta, you have the right to request deletion of your Nexlink account and all associated personal data at any time.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: From the App or Website

  1. Log in to your Nexlink account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion. Your account and data will be scheduled for permanent removal.

Option 2: By Email

Send a deletion request to privacy@nexlink.ph from the email address associated with your Nexlink account. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity and process the request within 15 business days.

Option 3: For Social Login Users

If you signed up using Google, Apple, or Facebook, you can also revoke Nexlink's access from your provider's account settings. However, to fully delete your data from our systems, please also use one of the options above.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account in the app, the following data is removed from your active Nexlink account as part of the deletion flow:

  • Your profile information (name, date of birth, place of birth)
  • Your profile photo and avatar
  • Your email address and phone number
  • Your posts and content
  • Your social connections and identity validations
  • Your authentication credentials and social login associations
  • Push notification tokens and device information

What May Be Retained

In limited cases, some data may be retained beyond the 30-day deletion window:

  • Legal obligations — Data required to be retained by Philippine law or regulation.
  • Fraud prevention — Minimal data necessary to prevent re-registration by users banned for abuse or fraud.
  • Anonymized data — Aggregated, non-identifiable data used for analytics may be retained as it cannot be linked back to you.

Processing Time

Email requests: Processed within 15 business days of identity verification.

In-app deletion: The authenticated account deletion flow removes access immediately and starts deletion of associated account records right away.

Limited retention: Some records may still be retained when required by law or for fraud-prevention purposes, as described above.
